jdm64 to attend IEM Katowice with Liquid
Josh "jdm64" Marzano will play for Liquid at IEM Katowice, the player has revealed on social media.
The 27-year-old will play for Liquid one last time at IEM Katowice, replacing their newest member, Keith "NAF" Markovic, who is seemingly ineligble to compete with the team after having qualified for the same event under Renegades.
Liquid completed the year on a rather tough note, with mixed results at IEM Oakland, the ESL Pro League Season 6 Finals and the ECS Season 4 Finals, with the team being unable to field Lucas "steel" Lopes at the ESL event due to the league's roster lock.
To make matters worse, Liquid were also forced to use their coach, Wilton "zews" Prado, as a stand-in at ELEAGUE Major Boston, where the North Americans finished 12th-14th after losing to Vega Squadron in the fourth round of the New Legends Stage.

Just two days ago, Liquid announced that they had signed NAF as their starter - a decision that came as a surprise to Josh "jdm64" Marzano, who did not think a roster change was needed since the team had had no real practice with their starting five.
"We had been going back and forth between practicing with zews and steel, and we were never able to consistently practice and grow as a set five, which is what frustrates me the most," he wrote in a Twitlonger post.
"When we got back from the Major (where we exceeded our expectations), it felt really good to finally start working towards improving as a team. Over the past three months, I have worked hard to develop into a more well-rounded player and think that I have made a lot of progress. I’ve never been more confident in myself and my game play.
"With that said, I know there have been plenty of moments with Liquid where I could have done better. I could sit here and give you a million reasons why I didn’t perform, but, in the end, it doesn’t matter.
"What really matters is that I’ve taken those moments and used them to become a better player and teammate. No regrets for me besides ever doubting myself. I have learned that doubting yourself only limits yourself, and that is definitely a mistake I will not make again.
"I will get back to streaming more often and prepping for IEM Katowice, which will be my last event with Liquid.," he wrote
"After we win Katowice (we probably will now), I plan on continuing to compete. I see myself improving daily, and am confident that I can add value to any team, if given the chance."
Liquid's squad looks as follows for IEM Katowice, which will run from February 27 through March 4:
Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski
Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken
Lucas "steel" Lopes
Josh "jdm64" Marzano
Nick "nitr0" Cannella
Wilton "zews" Prado (coach)
