Cloud9 top Heroic 2-0 in Los Angeles

Cloud9 breezed past Heroic (16-4 on Inferno, 16-10 on Mirage) to claim their first cs_summit win.

The last match of the day started on HEROIC’s map pick, Inferno, where Andreas "MODDII" Fridh best Jake "Stewie2K" Yip in a 1v1 to take the pistol round. HEROIC’s buy in the second round was interrupted by Tarik "tarik" Celik and William "RUSH" Wierzba's aggressive push through A-site apartments, forcing Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer to save. Cloud9 continued their aggressive approach to stamp two on the board before HEROIC cut the deficit by two.

Cloud9’s economy was still stout to allow Stewie2K on the awp, who sniped down three lower-B to disrupt HEROIC’s execute. Stewie2K’s shutdown created a string of rounds where the North Americans stamped their lead with four straight. Although HEROIC once again came out on top in their buy-round, thanks to Jakob "JUGi" Hansen with the opening kill against Stewie2K’s boost on banana, which allowed HEROIC to plant B and forced Cloud9 to save.

Hesitation in mid caused HEROIC to slip in the following round, however, the Danish team responded with a force buy win but Cloud9 would pick up the last two for the commanding 11-4 half. Cloud9 started the second half with a quick plant on the A-site as Timothy "autimatic" Ta cleaned the second pistol with a triple. From there, the North Americans aggression on the defense was too much to handle for the Danish team as Cloud9 swept the second half to secure the series lead.

RUSH consistent across both maps in sweep

The series shifted over to Cloud9’s map pick, Mirage, where HEROIC once again won the opening pistol with a smooth retake on A. This time around HEROIC were able to establish a 3-0 lead on their pistol round win, but a Cloud9 half-buy in the following round allowed the North Americans to win five straight.

HEROIC were finally able to get their wits together by shutting down the Cloud9 mid control, thanks to JUGi sniping a double to secure the win. Cloud9 tried for a more passive approach on the B-bombsite but were immediately shut down by Patrick "es3tag" Hansen using the smoke to pick up four. Cloud9 tried to get back in the remainder of the half but their force buys were stopped for a 9-6 HEROIC half.

The second half started smooth for Cloud9, who showed a great abundance of patience on the defense to win four straight. HEROIC finally got on the board with a force buy that was ultimately won by JUGi’s 1v2 no-scope. Unfortunately, Hansen’s efforts were crushed by Cloud9, who would take the remainder of the half for a 16-10 win, securing their spot in the tournament’s upper bracket semi-final.

for real... you're correct , just put +s1mple -steel... even though i'm a steel supporter and i know that steel is gonna get A LOT better in liquid... i bet that s1mple now can cope with the na scene a lot better now than previously ... he was "toxic" and right now , his personality has changed , i believe...

Seriously though if they - steel + S1mple then they become the NA Faze with all them buying the most hyped players. 4 stars in Simple, NAF, Elige and Twistzz and one decent fragging average IGL in Nitr0 who is also awping ( super budget Fallen ). They could potentially be on par or better than c9 and a top 4 team in the world.

just do some research online , it as when hiko was in the team and he , himself spoke to someone , about certain players not wanting to play with s1mple and that's why he left in the first time and then , cuz they didn't had any1 in place of s1mple to play for the team as a stand-in they called s1mple.

Auti is still the most consistent out of the rest. Only time will tell for RUSH. I still think the weakest link is Skadoodle. He maybe experienced, nice guy, very skillled, but hes missing that extra oomph. Still great, but if Cloud9 ever want to replicate SK success i think Ska will be first to go

thats what I am saying. They are a good team, but if i had to pick the weakest it will be skadoodle. Then again CS is not about skill only but team chemistry

Jugi is seriously a strong candidate for a top team. Will most likely happen after next major unless heroic themselves becomes a top contender, which wont happen with the current lineup. Maybe if they swapped moddi or niko for dennis... but I guess thats too late now.
