ORDER launch crowdfunding campaign

Melbourne-based esports club ORDER have started a crowdfunding campaign, which will allow fans to have a stake in the organisation.

The move comes after the Australian Securities and Investments Commission issued a crowd-sourced equity funding license in January under the new Crowd-sourced Funding regime.

The funds raised via the crowdfunding campaign will be used to expand the team's headquarters in Melbourne, Australia - The House of ORDER - with a world-class facility set to have a studio for events and tournaments as well as themed gaming lounges, which will be open to the community and will be used to "position gaming culture alongside music, art and fashion".

ORDER aim to be the first esports org to be primarily fan-owned

ORDER, whose Counter-Strike team will attend the upcoming IEM Katowice event, will prioritise gamers over other potential investors as they seek to become "the only esports brand in the world to be primarily fan-owned."

"We’ve been clear from the start that we’re an organization for the gaming community," ORDER owner Gerard Murphy said,

"We don’t ever want to compromise on this, and what better way than to let gamers become owners of the brand — to have their say and to share in our successes."

ORDER ventured into the Counter-Strike scene in early January with the signing the former Kings squad. Since joining, the Australian team have already made their mark, winning the WESG 2017 Asia Pacific Finals over MVP PK, and the IEM Katowice Oceanic qualifier over Tainted Minds

Below you can find ORDER's full lineup:

Nah This project they have in mind building this huge studio that can host tournaments and at the same time have gaming lounges like a LAN center costs just way too much. They didn't 'run out', they never had that kind of money in the first place, no esports org in AU probably does.

Is that sarcasm? Anyways it's a really nice idea just not in the right place. Sadly esports in Australia is not at people's interests. I hope they get investors for this, probably none from HLTV since everyone here is immature or young.

not sarcasm, i was being genuine! *EDIT* i think it's a big ask for people to invest in such a big project, especially being a relatively new company/organization with no previous track record(in saying that though i haven't done any research on the owners or anything)

agreed. saying that, in aus you shouldnt need to do research on the owners. people should already know them cause the community is small. worries me.
