Athletico part ways with squad

Athletico have announced via Twitter that they have released their primary CS:GO squad with immediate effect.

The news brings an end to the association that began in July, when Athletico signed Dark Sided's roster, featuring players like Sam "⁠flickz⁠" Jones and Mitchell "⁠Sync⁠" Dale.

In the past few months, the ex-Athletico squad had been going through some changes after parting ways with three players, signing Nikhil "⁠NikkeZ⁠" Victor and adding Mark "⁠deStiny⁠" Kagan and Gareth "⁠gazR⁠" Lynn as stand-ins.

flickz and co. are no longer part of Athletico

While part of Athletico, the team most notably finished second in ESEA Premier Season 26 and third at the CyberGamer Premier League Championship 2017.

On Twitter, Athletico hinted at the signing of a new team and stated that there is "exciting news to come." As for ex-Athletico, the Australian team currently sit seven in ESEA Premier, with a 7-6 record. Their roster currently looks as follows:

Their last win online was against HOMEsent and the score was 16-2 but after that their most recent was a 16-11 over Alternate attax which was over a week ago I think Edit: Their win against godsent was on Feb. 22 but the win before it dates back the Feb. 14 also Gambit is 7-6 with losses to Spirit, Superjymy, EnVyUs.Ac, Pride, stifmeister, and Sprout.
