iBUYPOWER Spring Invitational announced, with $16,000 prize pool

iBUYPOWER has announced its next invitational tournament, featuring eight teams and a $16,000 prize fund.

Running on March 17-18, this online tournament will feature some of the best teams in North America, who will compete in a single-elimination, best-of-three bracket for the grand prize of $10,000.

With SK and Cloud9 in China for the WESG World Finals, IEM Katowice semi-finalists Liquid headline the list of participants for the tournament, which also includes current Pro League leaders NRG and Brazilian side Luminosity.

Liquid will compete in the next iBUYPOWER Invitational

Nice to see torqued I think they can compete well with rogue and maybe even NRG

No Liquid and NRG are untouchable in groups I feel.

They have been looking good in EPL so far but they tend to have weak lan showings Hopefully this roster is a little better there

NRG has no lan showing to speak of outside of EPL S6 Finals where they did pretty good actually, beating NiP and North. They also had a shit DreamHack Open event (I forget which one) where they lost 1-2 to GODSENT. daps spoke on that, saying the team never was able to get proper practice since they had just acquired AnJ, which I will give him the benfit of the doubt since most of NRG's lan showings were before they were ever able to properly fit their new players into the lineup
