Team Russia member Egor "flamie" Vasilyev has told his teammates that he will not travel to China for the WESG World Finals, Denis "seized" Kostin has revealed.

In a post on social media network VK.com, the Gambit player wrote that Egor "⁠flamie⁠" Vasilyev revealed on Friday evening that he will not go to the Chinese event, which is scheduled to start in 72 hours.

flamie could miss the WESG Finals

flamie becomes the second Natus Vincere player to decide against attending the WESG Finals, after Ukraine star Oleksandr "⁠s1mple⁠" Kostyliev revealed that he would miss the event, citing "personal issues".

"Last night, flamie said that he will not fly to China," Denis "⁠seized⁠" Kostin wrote. "I hope that he will come to the airport and fly to the tournament.

"Otherwise, I have no words."

s1mple's tweet came just minutes after Natus Vincere lost to GODSENT in the consolidation final of the ECS Challenger Cup - a defeat that cost the Ukrainian team a spot in the prestigious league.

Russia qualified for the WESG World Finals after finishing top 12 at the European & CIS Finals, which were held in Barcelona. The team, who will be captained by seized, have been drawn in Group D, together with SK, BIG and New4.

If flamie does miss the event, Russia could still field Vadim "⁠MSE⁠" Zimin, who was announced on Friday as the team's new coach as Dmitry "⁠hooch⁠" Bogdanov is unable to travel to China due to family reasons.

Nobody wants to go to this hellhole of a tournament. The organisation this year is terrible, the visa documents came super late from them (to get the visa from china, the WESG organisation has to give the players documents), the flights are booked so bad, that typical chinese delays (5 hours can be normal) mean missing 2nd flight and the start of the event.
