North finalise GG:Origin invite list; groups drawn

North are the final invitee for the main stage of the GG:Origin tournament, UCC and GG.BET have announced.

The Danish giants will join 14 other invited sides and the winner of the open qualifier in the first stage of the tournament, which will consist of four double-elimination groups that will culminate with best-of-five finals.

The four group winners will progress to the playoffs, joining invited quartet Virtus.pro, Gambit, HEROIC, and HellRaisers in a single-elimination bracket.

North will play for a spot at IEM Sydney

The tournament winner will earn a spot at IEM Sydney, while the $10,000 prize pool will be distributed among the teams finishing second to fourth.
