'GAMERZ' producers address prize doubts
The 'GAMERZ' producers have clarified what will happen with the winners of the second season of the reality show.
Last month, GAMERZ RED, guided by Jonatan "Devilwalk" Lundberg, won the second season of the esports reality show after beating the Blue team, coached by Abdisamad "SpawN" Mohamed, after just two maps.
Hours after the show's ending, fnatic announced that the winning team would bootcamp at GameEffect, in Jönköping, after which "selected members" would be offered the "chance to become part" of the organisation's academy team for a minimum of six months as part of a strategic partnership with GAMERZ that was announced before the season launch.

When initially announcing the partnership, fnatic stated that they were "ready to give the winners a six-month pro contract in our new Academy setup". But three paragraphs down, it is mentioned that the winners only "gain the chance to form part of the new Fnatic CS:GO Academy".
Since the end of the season, rumours have been going around about what the winning team would exactly get, but the show's producers insist that the "co-operation and the terms have been very clear from the beginning."
"All participants agreed and understood to the format of the show before entering the GAMERZ house," Gamingzone Entertainment AB CEO Karl Mikael Cakste said in a statement.
"The five lucky players from Team Red that won the GAMERZ Grand Final gained the unique opportunity to join Fnatic Academy. This opportunity begins with a one month trial period where the former Team Red Gamerz are intensively trained, educated and evaluated by the Fnatic Team Management.
"The Fnatic trial phase starts on April 9 and the players participating will be duly paid from Day 1."
According to a recent report from Flickshot.fr, each participant in the first season was required to sign a two-year deal with Gamingzone Entertainment AB. The contract included a clause stating that the talent agency would take 20% of the prize money earned by the player for the duration of the deal.
The show's producer insists that no such agreement is in place, even though he did not mention whether that was the case in season 1.
"There does not exist any forced management contracts from Gamerz that cuts parts of the participants' future income," Mr. Cakste added.
