Hobbit steps down from IGL role

The Kazakh player Abay "Hobbit" Khasenov has announced he is stepping down from leading Gambit, and has given up the spot to Denis "seized" Kostin.

On social media, Abay "⁠HObbit⁠" Khassenov stated he will be focusing on his game instead of keeping the in-game leading duties he had assumed in February.

At the Bets.net Masters it could already be seen that a change was afoot as Denis "⁠seized⁠" Kostin sat in the middle of the row while his team played. HObbit had taken up the role from Dauren "⁠AdreN⁠" Kystaubayev after Gambit had lost their Legend stats at the ELEAGUE Major.

Hobbit passes leading duties on to seized

The change didn't go well for Gambit, who ended 12-14th at StarSeries Season 4 and 9-12th at IEM Katowice. It was also a personal hinderance for HObbit, whose 0.97 and 1.00 ratings at each event respectively, were below his personal average. In Kiev, where Gambit is playing the Bets.net Masters, HObbit had a good first match against GODSENT, where he ended up with a 1.29 rating and +20 KDD, despite his team's 1-2 loss.

Like hobbit was a great idea? is a top 20 player when he gets to be the player not a Igl that need to focus on other stuff. They same whit adren. DOsia have 1 job but he aint doing that very good either maby consider replaceing him ? in my eyes his useless for your team. his weak preformance always have been a issue before he had the excuse he was igl not anymore. And why take in seized? washed up navi player that was shit IGl in navi aswel... Take in 2 new players from other hungry russian teams or the other team from kazatakstan

Many around here judging IGLs for not being top players but in the end of the day, top players in many teams disliking being IGL, affects their skill and dont like being IGLs at all. For that to be the case means being IGL is a fucking exhausting and hard to do.
