Natus Vincere star Aleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev will fill in for mousesports in Thursday's ECS matches against Virtus.pro, the StarSeries i-League Season 4 champions have announced.

The Ukrainian talent will replace Martin "⁠STYKO⁠" Styk, who will sit out this pair of fixtures after his doctor advised him to rest.

This is not the first time that MOUZ have turned to Oleksandr "⁠s1mple⁠" Kostyliev to secure a last-minute stand-in. In December, the 20-year-old replaced Tomáš "⁠oskar⁠" Šťastný in the semi-finals and the final of LOOT.BET Cup 2 - cs_summit 2 qualifier.

s1mple will give mousesports a hand against Virtus.pro

STYKO will be hoping to get back into shape quickly as MOUZ prepare for DreamHack Masters Marseille, which will kick off in a week's time. The European mixture have been drawn in Group B, alongside SK, Ninjas in Pyjamas and Valiance.

MOUZ are currently fifth in ECS, with four victories from ten matches, while Virtus.pro are seventh, also with four victories but with seven defeats.

Even styko that does not shine so often was top fragging on mirage vs astralis, no? So yeah mouzu is currently well balanced. To me it seems there's always someone who can carry the team if necessary.. Like you said they might be able to win it even with 4 players only but VP despite their current ups&downs are still pretty strong in my opinion! Either way at this moment(s1mple standin) I think it is already a done match. I hope I'll be able to watch it

Simple has played with mouz before and it worked, so i think so. Tbf he played instead of Oskar and now he has to instead of Styko (different roles etc.) I doubt hell want flamie to come this time so he can leave the shitshow going on at Navi since he can actually fit into Mouz. (SK - stupid to have 1 or 2 players from random country - now your whole team has to speak english which is useless especially when you only have one non-portugese speaker / Mouz - everyones speaking english etc.) Im not saying they should get him nor kick Styko since he has been equally as good as the rest (no idea why he gets hate rn) and it works pretty well. Since 1.2 mil was set for both im guessing simple would be around 600-700k maybe more cuz i doubt flamie would be worth that much and Mouz has more enough money from their other esports, sponsors and their success in general.
