steel & zakk join Luminosity

Luminosity have added Lucas "steel" Lopes and Rafael "zakk" Fernandes as replacements for Marcelo "chelo" Cespedes and Alessandro "Apoka" Marcucci.

This marks Lucas "⁠steel⁠" Lopes's second stint with the organization, as he spent four months under the Luminosity banner back in 2015, when he played with the Brazilian lineup led by Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo.

The 24-year-old had been teamless since he left Liquid "for professional and personal reasons" in early April, following a five-month tenure with the North American organization.

Rafael "⁠zakk⁠" Fernandes had been looking for offers ever since the Immortals lineup was released in late 2017, after the previous team split up, with Vito "⁠kNgV-⁠" Giuseppe, Henrique "⁠HEN1⁠" Teles, and Lucas "⁠LUCAS1⁠" Teles forming NTC (later known as 100 Thieves for a short period).

steel quickly found his new home in Luminosity

Luminosity will be looking to bolster their stance in ECS and ESL Pro League. They are still in contention for spots at both finals, sitting in third place in the former league (seven wins from 12 matches) and in seventh place in the latter (25 points from 18 matches).

The new lineup will make their offline debut at WCA Finals, which will take place in Zhuhai, China, on April 29-30.

His big experience on IMT/Liquid will surely help LG to reach higher levels. This team still need more firepower tho. They will have to play tactically perfect to beat good teams.

- pkl + trk would bring the fire power that LG needs

I would love to see a team build around trk, lucas and hen1, it's a strong core. leo_drunky is a wasted talent on Sharks too. trk leo_drunky HEN1 lucas +1 Would be cool as fuck, for sure a better team than current the LG/TeamOne ones.

-1, he was absolutely awful when he first came up in fallens team. then he got kicked but since he worked his way up to the top again he actually was a lot better than he was when he first entered the scene. hes not a star player but hes decent enough and i dont think liquid really had a compelling reason to kick him if it hadnt been for taco basically being knocking on the door.

+1, he isnt a fragger, but when i saw he playing in liquid, it seems that all the kills that he got was so important. Still, i prefer him on lg, -pkl, +leo drunky, steel to igl, would be a excelent move.

Another potential Brazilian roster: hen1, lucas1, horvy, shz, some IGL. Would be about as good as this team tbh. Probably a bit better, if the IGL isn't complete trash.

and what exactly do u know about horvy? all i know him from basically (he never really played in IMT) is FPL streams where he appears on a regular basis. dunno how people wanna rate him as a player unless im missin some info about him.

Honestly, it doesn't matter that much. We know Lucas1 and Hen1 are good players, shz played pretty well with Tempo Storm, and horvy wasn't too bad with Immortals. Hen1 >> yeL Lucas1 >> Shoowtime shz = Nekiz (shz is arguably better but whatever) Even if horvy and the IGL are a bit worse than steel and PKL, the theoretical team will still be better than this Luminosity team. While we don't know how good Horvy is, he would have to be incredibly bad for the team to be worse than Luminosity. I just don't think that's very probable.

yeah fuck yeah imo he has proven that he can easily be the worst player on a really good team, and thats really all he needs to do. be a support player, help with calling and hold ur own while other people on ur team do the heavy lifting. like taco, pretty much.

LG não se deu conta que se manter PKL e SHOW no time, não vai andar, independente das mudanças. O mais adequado no momento é add Lucas1 e Hen1 para maior dinâmica. Caso contrário o time continuará a mesma coisa, batendo em cachorro morto e sendo espancado por times 1 pouco melhores, mesmo que ganhem de vez em nunca da C9. Fui !
