EG attends KODE5 instead of Gravitas

KODE5 announce that Evil Geniuses will be representing USA at KODE5 Global Finals, as Gravitas Gaming failed to supply KODE5 with passport information on one of its members.

Gravitas Gaming won the KODE5 USA qualifier, but will not be going to KODE5 Global Finals, as it tonight has been revealed, that the team failed to supply KODE5 with the needed information. Strict deadlines was given to the team, and as the team failed to supply needed documents, KODE5 was forced to replace the team.

Thomas Kuhlenbach from KODE5 states:

"It was a tough decision to make, but the failure to submit player information from the team in question forced our hand. Gravitas was given more than enough time to submit their player information to apply for several required documents after the conclusion of the USA Qualifier, but failed to do so. We were given strict deadlines to when this information was to be submitted, which meant that we had to make a quick decision to look for another team to replace them before the imposed deadline passed. Otherwise, USA would end up not having a representative at the KODE5 Global Final. In the end, it was decided to send one of the other candidates who were able to offer their information in a timely manner. It is regrettable that Gravitas will not be in attendance, but wish Team EG the best of luck in Moscow."

Note that Evil Geniuses will not replace Gravitas Gaming based on "just" being Evil Geniuses, but as KODE5 checked with the other finalists at KODE5 USA, who was able to go or not, before picking the team to replace Gravitas Gaming.

hltv.org stated what they found about situation. do you think that KODE5 organizations or EG would say that EG team is going to KODE5 Global because they pay for it? They'd ruin themself xD But of it's only my suggestions, it's may be not true

I dont say hltv.org write rumours KODE5 admins stated about deadline and only EG could give personal informations, but as soon EG plays really bad nowdays, they could give also some money for attending KODE5, but niether KODE5 and EG would say it, cuz it'd ruin themself I hope now you know what I meant :p

Yes, however, Gravitas were able to send their info 12 hours after the deadline (due to mislaid documents etc). How in that 12 hours they checked to see if x3o could attend (which they couldnt) and got EG's documents is beyond me.
