A new Finnish team sees the light, as rootz has been created - Niko "naSu" Kovanen and Joona "natu" Leppänen make comeback.
Niko "naSu" Kovanen did however not retire from the game as long as Joona "natu" Leppänen. Both of them are however back, as they today announced the creation of rootz, with three other Finnish members. The team will see a familiar face, being the former Crack Clan member Matti "SPIKEONE" Järvinen. Joining them will also be Miikka "dRiim" Toroi and Otto "danzer" Dimitrow. The five will together create the new Finnish team on the scene, named rootz.

We caught up with Joona "natu" Leppänen for a quick talk about this new team.
We will be keeping a close eye on rootz, looking forward to a possible rivalry with Crack Clan on the Finnish scene.

You are back to on the Counter-Strike 1.6 scene after a long absence. Is it great to be back and what do you eager to achieve this time around?
Oh I’ve been around, kind of, just not so much in the spotlight. I wish to have a lot of fun, to compete in various tournaments and obviously hope to have success while doing all that.
The team is currently standing on its own, with no organization in its back. What are you guys striving towards, in order to attract possible organizations for the future?
Well like everyone's seen the current world economy situation has taken its toll even on esports so sponsor money is tight right now. We felt our best chance was to get our name out there, do well and show that we're worth being a sponsored team. Hard work does pay off.
Tell us a bit about the team. How did you guys find together and what type or characters does the team consist of?
It all started with me and dRiim talking about possibly setting up a lineup. The recent roster changes in Crack opened us a door pretty much with players being on the market. So basically we talked with the other guys and everyone seemed to be on the same page on things.
It is obviously hard times for eSport, but how are your future plans with this team, any events or festivities planned?
We'll just look how things develop now and see if we possibly have opportunities. Back to the basics sort of, back in the day you had to start on nothing - that was how it worked and we're doing it the way it used to be.
We will be keeping a close eye on rootz, looking forward to a possible rivalry with Crack Clan on the Finnish scene.
