iGame.com announce new roster

iGame.com, the Finnish organization that held the spot as #1 team in Finland for a time during parts of 2016 and 2017, has revealed its new roster.

The Finnish team was known for having a stable roster built around the core of Sami "⁠xseveN⁠" Laasanen, Eetu "⁠sAw⁠" Saha, Saku "⁠SAGGERTON⁠" Jokinen, and Lasse "⁠ZOREE⁠" Uronen, who were together since mid-2015 when they were playing under the tryPANTS tag. After some time playing for Epiphany and RCTIC, the lineup eventually settled in iGame.com with Slaava "⁠Twista⁠" Räsänen, who then became the team's coach.

That core became the top team in Finland, but slowly started to disintegrate after reaching their ceiling in 2017. With the advent of ENCE, HAVU, and SJ, the roster slowly started to dissolve with the last pieces of the historic lineup leaving as xseveN recently joined ENCE, while sAw and Olli "⁠sLowi⁠" Pitkänen—one of the newer additions—found their way to HAVU.

In return, iGame.com now have Mikko "⁠xartE⁠" Välimaa, Jesse "⁠KHRN⁠" Grandell, and Timo "⁠REFLEX⁠" Rintala, who is making a return to competitive play. The team will also be joined by longtime member Twista who has been both a player and a coach and will see the return of SAGGERTON, who had left the team in mid-2017.

"After playing almost a year in HAVU with varying results, we had ups and downs but during the year we made new friends and got a lot of experience. We knew that something needed to change in order to get fresh set of minds to pursue our goals, so we decided to look other options with Jesse "⁠KHRN⁠" Grandell.

"We took our time to go through our options, we decided to ask Timo "⁠REFLEX⁠" Rintala to make a comeback and start playing with us. After this move we wanted to combine our strength with our good friends from iGame, Slaava "⁠Twista⁠" Räsänen and Saku "⁠SAGGERTON⁠" Jokinen. We are sure our good spirit and team work will be our advantage. We want to thank iGame for this opportunity."

It's important to have hobbies, and for these players this is exactly that. I just can't understand how they can have a sponsor for their hobby project. All these players have reached their peak CS potential long time ago, and they are not getting any better regardless how much they practice. This team is going no where, and if the players spend any other than hobby effort to the game, it's just wasted time for them. Fourth best team in Finland at most, and it's not getting any better.

superjymy is the third best. Nyyrikki isn't bad either. iGame could rival nyyrikki but I don't expect much else. If they replaced twista with someone who can use a mouse and keyboard, it would be a bit better. No one in this team has any star player potential which is the problem. Two to four solid performers but nothing flashy. xarte can be very good with the AWP but I doubt he's able to carry this team very often. KHRN's performance dropped pretty badly towards the end of havu. We gotta see how he does in this new team. At least he's a good looking guy. Reflex is a solid performer and an igl but definitely not a star. Also - "good spirit" - reflex Pick one saggerton has had some good times but I don't remember seeing him in the top of the scoreboard very often before he was kicked from the previous iGame roster. Twista is just bad nowadays and should be a coach if anything.

xarte was very good whenever he was awping in havu. He can definitely have pretty good impact. I'd go as far as saying that he's the best player in the team unless saggerton has put in a lot of time in to the game during his break. xarte is a laughing stock for a lot of people because of his stats but he really has done a lot of dirty work for his teams in the past. That just doesn't show in the scoreboard. When he was AWPing his stats went up a lot. At the same time I can't see much potential in this with twista as a player.
