Gambit invited to DreamHack Open Summer

Gambit has been confirmed to be the second invited team to DreamHack Open Summer, the tournament organiser has revealed.

Gambit joins North, who had been announced on Monday, as well as Imperial and Complexity, the two teams that managed to qualify in Europe and North America.

Gambit are also confirmed for three more events in May: DreamHack Open Tours, Adrenaline Cyber League and StarSeries i-League Season 5.

The Kazakhstani-Russian squad has been struggling for results in the past few months, but has recently secured a 3rd-4th place finish at their latest LAN event, DreamHack Masters Marseille, after beating teams such as Liquid and Cloud9.

DreamHack Open Summer will run on June 16-18 in Jönköping, Sweden, where eight teams will duke it out for a share of the $100,000 prize-pool. The team-list currently looks as follows:

whyyyy, they won a major a year ago because no one prepared for them. Stop inviting them to tournaments till they start doing something decent in long term >:(

Oh my don't get me started on North. Have they ever done well? As far as im concerned they've always been trash. How they got to #5 I'll never know.

I dont understand these complaint about wasted spot. I bet they would wanna have better teams, but they decline. Also you should realise two other big events (ESL ONE Belo Horizonte and CS:GO Asia CHampionship) are held at the same date with many good teams.
