SK invited to Moche XL Esports

SK Gaming have been invited to compete at Moche XL Esports, the event's organisers have revealed.

The Brazilian giants become the third team confirmed for the Portuguese event, joining Tempo Storm and HellRaisers, who were previously invited.

SK, who will take on FaZe at 22:55 in the quarter-final stage of the ESL Pro League Season 7 Finals, accepted the invitation after failing to qualify for the ECS Season 5 Finals, with the two events being held on the same dates.

SK and fox's Tempo Storm will meet in Lisbon

Originally called the Mercedes Benz CS:GO Cup, the tournament was renamed for reasons that remain unclear, although the prize purse remains the same, $50,000. Four invited teams will be joined by the winner of an Iberian qualifier and by the team coming out of Master League Portugal in this competition, which will be held from June 9-10 at Altice Arena, in Lisbon.

Awesome to know! My grandfather is portuguese and I cheer for fox since 1.6. He was a true legend back then. I think portuguese people will slowly hate Brazil because of the huge migration going on right now (brazilians running from violence, corruption and leftism). Many brazilians are migrating to live in Portugal now.

There's not much hate between both PT and BR in Portugal. Majority of the trash talkers usually stay on the Internet typing bs and flaming online behind a monitor. In person it's all chill. Portugal generally speaking identifies BR as a brother country and support BR in almost everything after Portugal. Just the love isn't shown in words, only the hate.

Not that much of traveling tbh, in Europe countries are close by each other. They will be playing starseries 1 week before this event so why not go for this tournament since they didn't qualify for ECS, if they qualified for ECS they would be in EU for the same amount of time.

You're totally right. There are a lot of teams nowadays that are similar both in strats and skill. Still, I think no team is as good in strats as Astralis. I think it would be pretty hard now to create a star team that would be unbeatable, pro CS is becoming more and more balanced, and I think that's good because that way it is exciting to see which team is going to win and things like that. I think unpredictability is what makes CS a lot more exciting nowadays.
