floreNz with Norweigans to ESWC Asia

ESWC Asia Masters will be visited by a team named Alchemists, consisting of four Norwegians and one Swede.

The event is just around the corner, starting this Saturday in Chenonan, South Korea. Today it’s reported that Achemists, a mix of four Norwegians and one Swede, will be attending the event.

The team attended The Gathering in Norway, where the team managed to go all the way, winning the event. It apparently opened the doors for going to ESWC Asia Masters, as the team gets support from QPAD and Komplett. This will allow the team to participate at a major event, challenging the world elite.

Alchemists consist of following:

Sweden Christian "floreNz" Shahan
Norway Gunnar "zEn" Eng
Norway Tommy "tacky" Mosgaard
Norway Karl William "kalle" Haraldsen
Norway Thomas "Vertigo" Andresen

Thomas "Vertigo" Andresen states following on the team attending ESWC Asia Masters:

"We got invited to this event very late, but we did all we could to make it happen, and we made it. We are all looking forward to this trip, none of us have ever been to a event this big before. We havn't prepared that good because of the short notice, but we want to come as far as possible of course. I want to thank our sponsors www.qpad.se, Komplett, Big Horn & www.oa.no."

HLTV.org will be keeping an eye on the team on their way through the tournament. ESWC Asia Masters will start on the 3rd of May, finishing off on the 5th of May. We will be on site on Cheonan, bringing you all of the action, so make sure to stay locked to your home of Counter-Strike 1.6 coverage 3-5th of May.

lol, are you kidding me? the norwegian scene is very low nowdays, even if they are the best norwegian team they will not be able to make a tiny damage. and, huh... this lineup sucks aswell so - blah.

they are still better than n! or TBH or some mdl groups like woosai and they can take 5-8 place.. if they are in good shape

LOL. boy you surely need to follow the scene more closely before posting comments as your last one. n!faculty and TBH are way better than Alchemists by far. and even if they are in the shape of their life and they will give an A game each match, they will not be able to take one of the top8 places there. oh, and please do not put wooSai and n!faculty on the same line, they are SO not at the same level, n!faculty are way better. anyway, Alchemists are unexperianced and new to the scene, nothing to expect from them.

AU won one of the biggest LANs in the world, so don't underestimate them. But as they have said in other interviews, they like being the underdogs. With that said, the Norwegian scene has fallen TREMENDOUSLY since 04-06. Let's hope alchemists brings the Norwegians back on track.

They won The Gathering 2009, so what? the top3 teams there were still mid level teams. Alchemists Excello and HighScore (something like that.. with azid and enoksen).

At the gathering in Norway the lineup was Florenz, pb , zEn, Tacky and sVIKEN. sVIKEN has taken a break and pb is out, so kalle has stepped in. Kalle is probably one of the top 3 norwegians players atm. Vertigo has also joined after leaving or getting kicked from excello, im not sure if he got kicked or left but anyway hes a very good player. I think this lineup will be very exciting to watch. IMO i would love to see sVIKEN here still as i havent seen his best and he didnt quite impress at the gathering, but he has said he has to take a break cus of school. I wish Alchemists Unleashed good luck and i have a good feeling they will show the cs community what they are capable of doing.

shouldn't have any expectations(crazy word) to this lineup. the players are very good, but they don't have that much practice together. Maybe they can do something though:) they had some really nice slow taccs and i think after more practice this team can take norway closer to what it once was:)

Expectations aren't too high on HLTV.org seeing not many have heard of them. As of now they are a pretty new team and I haven't gotten to see them play much but I wouldn't be surprised if they do impress at the event. But then again I don't think this team will last. and that everyone is talking about REAL, zip it. Most of you probably don't know other names either. REAL equals exaggerated.

Matrix is just a fake team pavo proclaimed to have created with noLa and prb. I can assure you, with the words of Mats "noLa" Nygren, that was just bull. Sorry to disappoint you!

Why are they lost?? Is going out to play something you want to make big is insane?? They are willing to make it big, they might be having free time, some money and have such a great opportunity at the door to play against top teams and gain experience so they are off to their destination. What a way to start an international career.

I think Alchemists will get 5.-8. place. mTw, SK, fnatic, WeMadeFOX, WICKED and EG will be to strong.

Well, aU is a very strong Norwegian team tho. Some guys here, say that aU will fail for sure, i'm not so sure, maybe the norwegian Counter Strike scene ain't so good anymore, but we have som good players and 5 of them are playing in aU. I'm sure of that aU will get top8.

Guys should know that Norway has ALOT of good individuals that could easy get TOP clans in the world, but we got none good Tacc leaders and the best tacc leader we got is probly in XLO ( neverlast ) and that team never evolves but we have a lot of individuals that can outaim many, but without the Spirit inside for gaming we wont be best. but we got ALOT of up'n'Coming players from norway. soon NOrway will be big again. btw. Kalle is probly 1 of the new topstar players in the world if he continues, awsome aim
