Sprout confirm sycrone move

Sprout have formally confirmed the addition of former North Academy member Dennis "sycrone" Nielsen to their squad.

The 22-year-old joins Sprout on a permanent basis from North after playing for the German team as a stand-in for over a month in various online qualifiers and in M.Game League 2.

He will be taking the team's reins as their new in-game leader, replacing Kevin "⁠kRYSTAL⁠" Amend, who was officially given his marching orders last week.

Dennis "⁠sycrone⁠" Nielsen becomes the second Danish player to sign for Sprout, following in the footsteps of Niels Christian "⁠NaToSaphiX⁠" Sillassen, who was a teammate of his during their time in Magistra and team123.

"Coming from a prestigious organisation such as North, I was very keen on finding a project with similar goals," sycrone said.

"When Sprout offered me to play as a stand-in, I did my best to try and make an impression and fortunately the guys and I clicked immediately.

"The lineup is still not finalized, but we've just finished a 10-day bootcamp in Germany, and while there is a lot of work ahead, I am really excited for the challenges in front of us and the opportunity I have been given.

"The past 6 months haven't been easy for me - With North Academy I was able to qualify for some of the biggest tournaments of my career, but there I had to learn what it means to fail miserably.

"In a lot of ways Sprout feels like a second chance to show what I am capable of. I will do my best to bring forth the qualities of these players and create an environment where we can all improve together.

"Playing with experienced players such as denis and Spiidi is also completely new to me, and together with coach towb, I feel like I am growing every day as a player and caller."

Sprout are currently facing pro100 in the upper bracket quarter-finals of M.Game League 2 with Martin "⁠PERCY⁠" Wessel as a stand-in, but there has been no indication yet as to whether the 23-year-old, a former member of Copenhagen Wolves and Tricked, will join the team permanently.

What good move? They will achieve as much as with krystal which is nothing. They lost every Open qualifier they player, often against mix Teams with this lineup and you think they will ever be able to compete. Denis should get a good Team and the Rest is too bad to play top Tier cs

I think they need a full roster and try to see how it works out. They where playing alot with standins lately. But i agree on the results, they have to get better. I also agree that Denis and Nato probably could play for much better Orgs, but i also can see them forming a solid team out of this.
