Official: Gambit part ways with seized; mir on trial

Gambit have announced that they have parted ways with Denis "⁠seized⁠" Kostin, with former Vega Squadron member Nikolay "⁠mir⁠" Bityukov set to try out for the team.

seized had been part of Gambit since early February, when he had replaced Bektiyar "⁠fitch⁠" Bahytov, eventually becoming the team's in-game leader before Mihail "⁠Dosia⁠" Stolyarov retook the role during the team's campaign at DreamHack Open Tours.

mir has been out of action since early April, as he was placed on Vega Squadron's transfer list following a rocky period with the CIS-based lineup.

mir joins Gambit on a trial period

According to the announcement, the 22-year-old will try out for Gambit for the time being, with his future with the organization depending on their results in the upcoming months.

His first tournament with the squad will be StarSeries i-League Season 5, which begins on Monday, May 28 with the Swiss group stage, where Gambit will first face their compatriots, AVANGAR.

The Kazakh-Russian squad have a busy schedule ahead, as they'll also take part in three more offline tournaments in the next month and a half: GG.BET Majestic (June 5-6), DreamHack Open Summer (June 16-18), and ESL One Cologne (July 3-8).

Gambit is done. They dont know what they are doing. Seized said he didn't even know he's being replaced. Gambit changing igl every week. That's not gonna lead anywhere + teams that had their preps done right won't leave a chance to Gambit in upcoming major. That looks a lot like a child's play. I root for gambit but seeing them do frivolous decisions is painful

Good transfer, considering Mir has the possible potential to reach bigger heights than Seized. Seized has peaked, I do not believe he will be back at that level again.
