StarSeries i-League Season 5mouz, SK move into 2-0 pool in Ukraine
SK and mousesports have improved their records to 2-0 at StarSeries i-League Season 5 after they picked up 2-0 victories against AVANGAR and TyLoo, respectively.
StarSeries i-League Season 5 continued with two best-of-three matches that featured teams with 1-0 records. One of those games was MOUZ vs. TYLOO which kicked off on Train. MOUZ started on the T-side and secured the pistol round victory with Martin "STYKO" Styk and Miikka "suNny" Kemppi's double kills.
Chris "chrisJ" de Jong & company made it 4-0 after winning two anti-eco rounds and the first gun round. Even though TYLOO won the fifth round, this wasn't the start of a streak. MOUZ led 10-2 at one point in the half and finished it 11-4 ahead.
TYLOO had a positive start to their T-side campaign, winning the first three rounds to trail 11-7. However, MOUZ put their foot on the gas pedal after winning the first weapon round and went on to win the map 16-7.
Inferno was the second map of the series and Tomáš "oskar" Šťastný opened it up in style, winning his CT-sided team the pistol round with a quad kill. TYLOO responded in the first gun round and won three more rounds to go ahead (4-3). MOUZ managed to take back the lead and protected it until halftime, leading 9-6.
The European squad won the first five rounds in the second half to go 14-6 up and closed out the map with a 16-8 final scoreline, winning the series 2-0 to improve their tournament record to 2-0.

The other series was between SK and AVANGAR. The CT-sided Brazilians won the pistol round on Inferno with Jake "Stewie2K" Yip's quad kill but the Kazakhstanis hit back in the following round to tie the game at 1-1.
AVANGAR were about to make it 3-1 in their favor but lost a 5vs3 post plant in the fourth round as SK made it 2-2. That was the breaking point of the half as SK went on to extend their lead to 8-2 with a seven-round streak and they led 11-4 at halftime.
Dmitry "dimasick" Matvienko's team started the second half well, winning four of the first five rounds and trailing 12-8. However, SK's T-side clicked and they won a 4vs4, a 4vs5, and two 3vs5s to win the map 16-8.
The Brazilian squad started Mirage on the T-side and grabbed the pistol round win. AVANGAR were down 3-0 after losing two more rounds but they secured the first gun round with Aidyn "KrizzeN" Turlybekov's triple kill in a 2vs3 post-plant.
AVANGAR managed to tie up the game twice, once at 3-3 and another time at 4-4, but SK found their groove, winning six rounds in a row and finishing the half with a 10-5 lead.
SK secured the map victory in the 27th round, winning it 16-11 and taking the series 2-0. With this result, they joined MOUZ in the 2-0 pool at the StarSeries i-League Season 5 Finals.
