North take the last group stage match over GODSENT; to quarter-finals
North beat GODSENT in the last match of the group stage, 2-0 (16-11 on Overpass and 16-12 on Nuke), to clench the last playoff spot in Kiev.
The deciding series between North and GODSENT started on Overpass, North’s pick, with the Danes starting on the CT side. After winning the first pistol round with a USP ace by Daniel "mertz" Mertz, and following it up with two anti-ecos in which GODSENT weren’t able to plant, the Swedes were finally able to take the first gun round. GODSENT then recovered quickly, tying it up to 3-3 going into another gun round. With 5-4 in North’s advantage, Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin erupted into the B site and downed three players to clear it out and tie it back up. Eventually, North were able to win the half with a three round gap, 9-6.
On the attacking side, North quickly took the reins of the match, winning the pistol round and the anti-ecos to lead 12-6, and reset GODSENT in the following two rounds, to increase their lead to 13-7, but a double entry with the CZ75 by Simon "twist" Eliasson and a 1vs2 clutch by Joakim "disco doplan" Gidetun followed by a defusal got the Swedes back in the game. GODSENT then went on to win two more, but it would prove to be not enough as North closed it out 16-11.

The second map started like a mirror image of the first, with North taking the 3-0 lead and GODSENT winning the first gun round as Brollan and disco doplan both got doubles. After losing the follow up, a triple by Brollan in a crucial forcebuy got his team within two, 2-4. North would quickly turn up the heat, though, and won three in a row until disco doplan got three kills on an explosive A play to make it 7-3. Finally, North were able to take a hefty 10-5 lead into the half.
A play in yard by North was stopped by Fredrik "freddieb" Buö in garage, and with twist support and getting three USP kills, GODSENT were able to stay in the game. It didn’t take long for GODSENT to get the momentum on their side, not allowing North to plant a single time in the first five rounds, and winning the sixth with a defuse in a 2vs2 to take the lead for the first time, 11-10. A double entry by Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye set the next round up for North, who took it and followed it up, once again taking the lead away from the Swedes. From there on out, the Danish team were able to close out the second map and win the series to move on to the next stage of the tournament.
