xms, SIXER to replace Happy, RpK at CS:GO Asia Championships

EnVyUs will be attending the $300,000 tournament in Shanghai without Cédric "⁠RpK⁠" Guipouy and Vincent "⁠Happy⁠" Schopenhauer, HLTV.org has learned.

The CS:GO Asia Championships will take place in Shanghai, China, on June 14-18. Leading up to the tournament, it has been revealed that Envy will not be playing the event with their current roster, instead using two of their former members, Alexandre "⁠xms⁠" Forté and Christophe "⁠SIXER⁠" Xia.

Since his departure from the first team, SIXER has been representing EnVyUs Academy, while xms has recorded only two HLTV.org matches since being benched by the French team, playing with a mix team MINLATE.

SIXER and xms will be representing EnVyUs again

Envy has not put out an official statement on the matter yet nor have the players stated the reasons for RpK and Happy not attending the event in China, but the change in the lineup has been confirmed to HLTV.org by the tournament organizers.

As it stands, Envy will attend CS:GO Asia Championships with the following lineup:

Honestly, its time for Happy to think through what he wants. If he doesnt enjoy playing low tier games, he should retire. He will never be a top contender again.
