Kevin "⁠kRYSTAL⁠" Amend has found a new home in Imperial after trying out for the team in the last few weeks, the organization has announced.

The German player has been without a team since parting ways with Sprout in mid May, over a month after he had played his last match for the international squad.

kRYSTAL has already spent over a month trying out for Imperial, who had benched Asger "⁠AcilioN⁠" Larsen in early May.

With the team, he took part in DreamHack Open Tours, placing last following losses to North and HellRaisers, as well as in the first Europe Minor open qualifier, in which they barely missed out on a spot in the closed qualifier after finishing third-fourth.

kRYSTAL is now officially part of Imperial

kRYSTAL has now officially been announced as Imperial's new in-game leader, less than a week before the team travels to Sweden for DreamHack Open Summer (June 16-18).

"Imperial is a new milestone for me. This will be my first ever team where I am not one of the younger players anymore. In fact, I am the oldest one now. Being the oldest player in a team, as well as being the IGL and captain holds a certain responsibility." kRYSTAL said in a statement.

"I feel the fire of all these young players, especially from EspiranTo and I hope I can guide them into the correct future of CS and help them grow. I will dedicate myself to the fullest and try to be the person I wish I had been when I was 17 and this hungry about CS. Thanks to Imperial and all the sponsors for having faith in me and giving me a chance for a new home."
