BIG knock out NTC in Brazil

BIG have eliminated NTC after defeating the Brazilians 2-1 at ESL One Belo Horizonte (9-16 on Train, 16-12 on Overpass, and 16-4 on Dust2).

BIG and Não Tem Como faced off in the Group B elimination match at ESL One Belo Horizonte which kicked off on Train. Vito "⁠kNgV-⁠" Giuseppe opened it up with a 1vs3 clutch in the pistol round, giving the T-sided Não Tem Como a 1-0 lead.

After the Brazilian side won the anti-eco rounds to extend their lead to 3-0, BIG responded by taking the first weapon round. The Germans secured three more rounds to go ahead (4-3). Fatih "⁠gob b⁠" Dayik & company led 8-7 at halftime.

Não Tem Como grabbed the second half pistol round victory but BIG hit back in the second round to take back the lead (9-8). However, this was the only round BIG won in the second half as Não Tem Como won eight rounds in a row to close out the map 16-9. The penultimate round was crucial as Bruno "⁠BIT⁠" Fukuda Lima and kNgV- clutched a 2vs5 with AWPs.

BIG started Overpass on the T-side and lost the first round as time ran out. Marcelo "⁠chelo⁠" Cespedes won a 2vs2 post plant with his double kill in the second round, making it 2-0. After Não Tem Como's initial 4-0 lead, BIG won five rounds to go ahead. Não Tem Como dominated the rest of the half, winning it 10-5.

gob b's triple kill in a post plant in the second half pistol round gave the CT-sided Germans their sixth round (10-6). BIG were able to tie the game at 10-10 but couldn't go in front as chelo and BIT clutched a 2vs4. BIG then came back from 12-10 and won the map 16-12.

The last and deciding map was Dust2. Owen "⁠smooya⁠" Butterfield got a triple kill in the pistol round to win it for BIG but Não Tem Como, who were on the T-side, retaliated by securing the second round. The score was 4-2 in favor of the Germans when Tizian "⁠tiziaN⁠" Feldbusch got a quad kill and reset Não Tem Como's economy. The Brazilians couldn’t recover and BIG led 12-3 at halftime.

Johannes "⁠tabseN⁠" Wodarz, gob b, and smooya won a 3vs5 in the second half pistol round, making it 13-3. The German squad closed out the map 16-4, winning the series 2-1 and staying alive at ESL One Belo Horizonte.
