Red Reserve sign GODSENT roster

After parting ways with their old lineup in May, the Swedish organization Red Reserve has acquired the squad that, up till now, represented GODSENT.

First news about the ownership structure of GODSENT looking to sell off their shares of the team came out at the start of the year, but no follow-ups have came out on the matter since.

Now, it has been revealed that Red Reserve, who let go their roster built around Joakim "⁠Relaxa⁠" Gustafsson and Fredrik "⁠FREDDyFROG⁠" Gustafsson last month, have acquired the whole GODSENT roster, including the team's coach Niko "⁠naSu⁠" Kovanen.

The recent ruleset update regarding teams with tied interest playing in the Major cycle has perhaps forced GODSENT's owners hand in this case, seeing them sell off the whole team to Red Reserve shortly before the start of the European Minor Closed Qualifiers.

GODSENT didn't comment on the decision, only clarifiying that "RFRSH Entertainment is no longer involved with the GODSENT brand and has no contractual obligations to the players."

Red Reserve's CEO stated that the transfer "went very smoothly" and that this roster gives them the "ability to transform Red Reserve into a household name":

The transfer process went very smoothly and now we’re able to have Red Reserve represented on a global-scale in Counter-Strike. Simon "⁠twist⁠" Eliasson, one of the founding members of GODSENT, also put out a statement on the matter:

"I am really happy teaming up with Red Reserve we as a team will continue doing our best to reach our goals for the future, Id like to thank GODSENT/RFRSH for the time being its been one hell of a learning experience for me being one of the "founders" in GODSENT. I'd like to also thank every GODSENT player I've played with from start to end, especially znajder and pronax with whom I have shared some of the best moments in my life with." - twist
