mouz take down SK to advance to grand final in Belo Horizonte

mousesports have beaten SK 2-0 at ESL One Belo Horizonte, becoming FaZe's opponents in the grand final (16-7 on Dust2 and 16-12 on Train).

The second semi-final at ESL One Belo Horizonte kicked off on Dust2 with the CT-sided MOUZ taking the pistol round. Following three more round wins, MOUZ lost a 5vs3 but recovered swiftly as they secured the following round to lead 5-1.

SK won another 3vs5 to get their second round and later made it 5-4 thanks to Ricardo "⁠boltz⁠" Prass's ace. However, this was the last round SK picked up in the first half as MOUZ grabbed six rounds in a row to finish the half 11-4 ahead.

On the T-side, Chris "⁠chrisJ⁠" de Jong secured the second half pistol round with a triple kill. MOUZ also took the two anti-eco rounds, extending their lead to 14-4. Martin "⁠STYKO⁠" Styk's team closed out the map with a 16-7 final scoreline.

Train, which was the second map of the series, started with MOUZ' 5vs5 post-plant victory in the pistol round. SK couldn't do much in the second and third rounds but Fernando "⁠fer⁠" Alvarenga's triple kill in the first weapon round was enough for the Brazilians to get their first round (3-1).

The Brazilians stopped successfully MOUZ two more times and then took the lead with Jake "⁠Stewie2K⁠" Yip's 1vs2 clutch in the seventh round (4-3). Throughout the rest of the half, MOUZ only won two weapon rounds and SK led 10-5 at halftime.

Stewie2K stepped up in the 16th round, giving SK their first pistol round victory in the series with a quad-kill. However, MOUZ took the following seven rounds and the lead by only losing two or less players in each of them (12-11).

SK tied it up once again at 12-12 but MOUZ were able to close out the map 16-12, winning the series 2-0 and advancing to the grand final where they will take on FaZe.
