HLTV.org has been growing consistently the past year, so much that our little crew was getting way too busy to keep everything updated.
Therefore we saw the chance to expand the crew with a great newswriter when readmore.eu closed their doors, so we are presenting no other than MIRAA of GotFrag, MYMYM and readmore.eu fame. MIRAA will be heading up the news department of HLTV.org, making sure we stay the place to be with regards to news. This means that the rest of the crew will get more time to devote to other parts of coverage.
We are really happy that MIRAA wanted to come work with us in our little family, and we are sure he will help lift HLTV.org to a new level. MIRAA will also be a valuable member for on-site coverage, meaning we in the future will get a chance to do on-site coverage of two events simultaneously. It also means that news will appear more regularly, so make sure to stay tuned to HLTV.org at all times!
We hope you will all welcome MIRAA to the crew, and enjoy the content he will be producing.
Make sure to check back during the summer for new features and content that will be springing to life as exams finish.

True, bet they get banned for speaking Polish and the other way around, nobody is getting special treatment for as far as I know the admins do their best! :))

A ton of people are banned every time it goes nuts in a match thread like that, but understand that often 500 comments can come within an hour, we cannot always sit ready to delete them..

i understand, u got to admit that time wicked play everybody know whats gonna happen here... and i never saw jonathan warn them(not saying u he didnt), but i just speak portuguese because i dont know what u call to that QUEIMA out there.. nevermind

I can assure you that being either a Wicked match or of whatever team there is a close monitoring of what is happening there (including posting of a general non-English warning, even if as you say you know these are there but you missed them).
But I hope you will understand that I, and presumably the rest of the forum admins and the Hltv.org crew overall, are too humans and matches schedule do not meet sometimes our life schedules. But in the end infractors are taken care of.
If you do not know how to translate a portuguese word there are plenty of tools out there which will help you to get it right, and, no, queima (burning in English) is not the only word in Portuguese you wrote there ;P

1ºst of all, i never said that QUEIMA was the only word i said in portuguese, but dude, ur not an english master, so i know pretty much english, not trying to be smarter then u, but i do know..2ºnd, u dont know the meaning of QUEIMA, so dont talk of things u dont understand. QUEIMAS DAS FITAS is a college students party, its not quite a party, go to youtube and type queima coimbra and u will see a little bit. so u dont know if in europe u college students have the same tradicions, thats why i speak portuguese, but u are right i shouldnt..i apologise.

Haha nice pic background!
Its a nice news for HLTV.org but imho, this website doesnt have a good coverage system for an experienced journalist like MIRAA. Hope with this addition Nomad and Nix0n will spend even more time improving the web :P
Good job all!

I think the coverage is always good, but one thing I think would make the comments more readable would be to separate them to different tabs. Like 50 comments for tab1 and other 50 to tab2 etc. I like to read comments but if there's 400 comments the scrolling is such a torture :P Apart from that, the site is just great

Well, when we do tabs some complain they can simply not just scroll, so I dunno if we can win that battle.. There will hopefully be some graphical upgrades over the summer though.. :)

nomad ,On the contrary I think the way comments are ,the way it should be...comments are absolutely lovely in this way only..tabs make the process very troublesome with multiple loading of the pages..plus I think this is one of the areas where HLTV.org beats gotfrag.com.(note I said one of the areas).May be if you want to make some changes one could be providing POVs of the MVP in the match (if that is possible),that would make HLTV.org to another level,am quite sure of that.Plus video interviews should have separate section on HLTV.org..(this is where SK gaming site has a little advantage over you.they had a lot of video interviews in kodes5 tournament).

We are looking into POV's, and with MIRAA on board this might start being possible.. As for video, then this is a very time consuming task, as it needs to be edited, with only 1 person on-site, doing video is very hard..

Oh, and as I wrote I know many like the forums the way they are, so if any changes are made it will be something you can enable/disable in your user profile, so do not worry! :)

I miss a powerful coverage area like SK-Gaming.com or readmore.de, with a clean design and all the information that users want. The coverage area of HLTV.org is a little old and needs some remake.
btw you have other areas like HLTVs, demos, stats and scorebots that are over the rest of esports websites, so you can take this and make the ultimate coverage website :P

Exactly the coverage overview is getting a heavy re-design as soon as we can get a designer on board.. :)
And I am happy to hear the constructive criticism, this is by far the best way to improve!

Noted, but organized in which way? By year and month? Currently there is the search, but i realize it may return too many results to be useful for finding one specific article..

Yeah by year and month. It makes looking for the required stuff quite easy.
Once I was searching for an installment of the Zonic's Zoom, I searched for "Zonic" and a quite long list of articles showed up and i had to look into each one to search for particular one.
And so now your are three guys reporting it would be nice to have a page listing all the articles by the writer linked from their respective profiles.

MIRAA is a pro and I read his articles in readmore.eu recently and by god this man is a great reporter as well as awesome blogger.Man Miraa used to drive gotfrag all alone by himself...the no. of demos uploaded on gotfrag by Miraa is HUGE.
wElcome Miraa,I am quite sure HLTV.org would never regret this decsion.

welcome MIRAA
hltv.org's tour coverage is perfect, seedings, tour updates, photos, brackets , results, demos , groups, scorebot, live score updates, all the needed stuff a spectator wants. It's an easy to read website, easy to find what you need and it's my main site for cs related news and not only, the only thing that lacks an update for now, are the Articles but its tottaly understandable, it's difficult for just two people to run a website and keep it updated every day. SO , great job HLTV CREW and again, WELCOME MIRAA :)

Awesome! Miraa is among the best picks around the gaming scene right now. A pro-active journalist with an in-depth knowledge about counter strike. Glad to hear he left that pro-US gotfrag and joined a respectable organisation like HLTV. :P

Saying that a former site he worked for is better off is not an insult but does not sound nice either.
Note that I did not delete any of these messages but I do tell you they were suitable to be deleted as you can critize MIRAA but in a much better way than shown so far.

What I said was that "gotfrag is better off", which means that it's a better place (than it was before, not than HLTV.org) after MIRAA left. Of course, gofrag's gone to hell completely nowadays, but that's a different story.
Have you read MIRAA's article about zet? I think I don't need to add any critique other than mentioning the article, but perhaps I will.
