ENCE eliminate mousesports in Cologne

ENCE beat MOUZ 2-0 with the young Jere "⁠sergej⁠" Salo shining as they took Inferno, 19-17, and Mirage, 16-12.

ENCE started winning on Inferno with a slow pistol round that ended with the Finns exploding on A and being able to defend the plant. Straight out of the gate ENCE showed they were going to go all in on their map pick, taking seven rounds before MOUZ were even able to get on the board. ENCE played slow methodical rounds for the most part, hitting both bomb sites and coming out on top most of the time for a 11-4 partial at the half.

Having switched sides, ENCE once again won the pistol round with a quad-kill by Jani "⁠Aerial⁠" Jussila who ended the round after a 2vs3 afterplant situation. MOUZ hit A and planted the bomb on the forcebuy, but were unable to defend the bomb. On the third round MOUZ started to win, and took three more after that before resetting ENCE who had just won a round on the back of a four-kill round by Sami "⁠xseveN⁠" Laasanen. With 14-9 on the board, MOUZ started to see the light, bringing it all the way back to a 14-14 having won ten out of eleven rounds in the half.

The map eventually ended with ENCE winning the 29th round, but being unable to seal the deal and going into overtime. ENCE won on CT, 2-1, the side that gave them so many problems during the match, which allowed them to take the Terrorist side in the following two rounds to claim their map pick, 19-17.

Mirage started differently for ENCE as MOUZ took the pistol round on the attacking side with a triple by Miikka "⁠suNny⁠" Kemppi, who got another one on the first gun round as MOUZ went on to take a 6-0 lead before giving a round up to the Finnish side on a pistol buy. ENCE then started to gain some confidence winning seven rounds to close the gap before changing sides.

Robin "⁠ropz⁠" Kool won a 1vs1 against Aerial, who was on a rampage, in the pistol round, but ENCE bounced right back planting on A and winning the after plant with sergej and xseveN divvying up the kills in the round. ENCE tied it up against the forcebuy with sergej leading the way on the board with 20 frags in 19 rounds. In the driving seat, ENCE were unrelentless as MOUZ crumbled and struggled with a broken economy.

Finally, the European team was able to start clawing their way back from a 10-14 to a 12-14 deficit, but when it looked they would bring it back, ENCE won a round after trading on A to get on match point. ENCE then sealed the deal on the following round, staying alive and knocking MOUZ out of the tournament.
