Rogue defeat Dignitas at Americas Minor

Rogue are through to the Americas Minor Group B winners' match after beating Dignitas 16-10 on Dust2.

Starting out as Counter-Terrorists, Rogue picked up the first pistol convincingly, and followed that up with the anti-ecos, losing just three players in the process. Spencer "⁠Hiko⁠" Martin and Daniel "⁠vice⁠" Kim then increased their team's lead to 4-0 after retaking the B bombsite from Dignitas in a 2v2 situation.

With nothing but pistols, Dignitas responded with their first round thanks to a 1v2 clutch from Mitch "⁠mitch⁠" Semago. That round propelled Dignitas into a great run that saw them take a 6-5 lead. Rogue then looked set to level up the score, but Peter "⁠ptr⁠" Gurney denied them with a 1v2 clutch.

Rogue still won the following two rounds to crush Dignitas' economy, but ptr stepped up to the plate once again, this time around with a quad-kill to bag a narrow 8-7 half-time lead for his team.

That lead did not last long, however, as Rogue won a flawless second pistol and the respective anti-ecos to make it 10-8. Dignitas responded with a successful gun round on the back of a triple-kill from mitch in a retake, but, after that, the game turned into a one-way street as Rogue took control of proceedings and wrapped things up quickly.
