HellRaisers beat PLINK to secure CIS Minor playoff spot

HellRaisers are through to the playoffs at the CIS Minor, in London, after defeating PLINK 16-11 on Mirage in Group A's winners' match.

The match began with PLINK, who had beaten pro100 in the group's opening match, on the CT side retaking the A bombsite from HellRaisers on the back of a triple-kill from Rassim "⁠Jyo⁠" Valijev. The Estonian-Russian squad followed that up with the anti-ecos, but could not handle HellRaisers' aggression in the first gun round.

Two rounds later, Issa "⁠ISSAA⁠" Murad looked on course to find the equaliser for his team, but Jyo prevented the Jordanian from clutching a 1v2 situation. Kyrylo "⁠ANGE1⁠" Karasiow's men responded by stringing five rounds together, but PLINK still gave a fight and won two more rounds, one with nothing but pistols, to reduce the deficit to three rounds by half-time.

In the second half, HellRaisers picked up a near-flawless CT pistol with a triple-kill from ISSAA. PLINK did not let their opponents capitalize on that, however, and went on to take the lead on the map fairly easily, 11-10.

But after that, HellRaisers completely crushed PLINK's hopes with a double AWP setup, winning six rounds in a row to book their spot in the CIS Minor playoffs.
