Spirit qualify for FACEIT Major New Challengers Stage over pro100

Spirit have booked their spot in the FACEIT Major's New Challengers Stage after defeating pro100 2-0 (16-3 on Dust2 and 16-6 on Nuke).

The final qualifying match of the event started on Dust2, Spirit's map pick, with Vadim "⁠DavCost⁠" Vasilyev and co. bagging a 3-0 lead after winning their Terrorist pistol. With double-kills from Ivan "⁠AiyvaN⁠" Semenets and Leonard "⁠kenzor⁠" Volodarchuk, pro100 won the first gun round, which propelled them to level the score at 3-3.

However, Spirit would not let the game slip away and went on a massive run, constantly shutting down pro100 to go up 12-3 before switching sides.

Now playing as Counter-Terrorists, Spirit kept denying pro100's executes, first with a successful pistol and then with a 1v2 clutch from DavCost. Spirit closed out the map without losing any more rounds, with Pavlo "⁠COLDYY1⁠" Veklenko topping the scoreboard with 21 kills.

Next up was pro100's map, Nuke, but it did not seem like it was their pick at all. Spirit won another CT pistol, and followed that up with an anti-eco.

Although pro100 picked up the next round on the back of a quad-kill from AiyvaN, Spirit kept pressing on, losing a single round before securing another commanding half-time lead, 13-2.

pro100 were on the ropes, but found some breathing room after winning the second pistol, in part thanks to a triple-kill from Dmytro "⁠def⁠" Lemeshchuk. Despite losing the next round, pro100 kept their defence tight and brought the deficit to 6-14, but then Spirit bagged two rounds in a row to seal another comprehensive victory.
