OpTic breeze past 3DMAX in Europe Minor opener

OpTic are through to the Group A winners' match at the Europe Minor after defeating 3DMAX 16-5 on Mirage.

Starting out as Terrorists, OpTic got off to a great start, bagging a quick 3-0 lead before winning the first gun round with a triple-kill from René "⁠cajunb⁠" Borg in a 2v4 situation. Despite being on a shoddy buy, 3DMAX secured the next round on the back of a triple-kill from Bryan "⁠Maka⁠" Canda with a saved AWP.

Still, OpTic kept running all over the defence to go up 8-1. That was when 3DMAX came back to life, with nothing but pistols, with Maka following that up with a 1v2 clutch. Nevertheless, OpTic strung together the final four rounds of the half to secure a dominant 12-3 half-time lead.

cajunb opened up the action in the second half with a clean USP-S quad-kill to win his team's second pistol, but 3DMAX responded in the subsequent round to find a lifeline.

A Deagle double-kill by Kristian "⁠k0nfig⁠" Wienecke in the 19th round put OpTic on 14 rounds, and the Danes refused to take their foot off the gas, closing out the map at 16-5.
