WICKED win DTS-Cup 2009

WICKED put in a world-class performance to defeat WeMade FOX 16-8 and clinch the DTS-Cup 2009 title.

The former e-STRO team knew they had a mountain to climb to win the tournament as they needed to win two maps after coming from the Lower Bracket.

But WICKED, who had defeated the Koreans earlier today in a thrilling 22-19 clash, made sure their opponents had to settle for a second place.

The ex-MYM team, who started as T, stamped their authority on the game right from the start and were up 7-3 in the first half. But WeMade FOX managed to respond and even went into the second period winning 8-7.

However, WICKED, now playing as CT, made no mistakes in the second half as they cruised to a 9-0 result that gave them the win.

Not really. They didnt do so well at Kode5 and ESWC Asia. Also tbh, can u name three teams that are considered as top 10 today that DID attend this tournament apart from WMF? So ofcourse they should win this otherwise i would quit cs. They still struggled although no big teams attended. So the only thing i can make out of ur comment is that your knowledge doesnt get beyond a certain point.

Dts is not top 10? Lemondogs had a stand-in and i never said WMF was a bad team only the opposite. They and Wicked were the only big teams who did attend.

Yes, getting 3rd place on kode5 is really so fucking bad result, isnt it? They won against wnv, mtw losing only to fnatic, who dominated the scane lately but mym were still able to get into overtime. Here they also showed a good game winning all the matches on train, inf, and d2 without any problems. The only thing they actually have to work at is nuke.

i dont. its impossible to keep winning for such long time. its so nice to see them placing top3 for me, especially after having no orga for 2 months. in one of iviews neo said he was going to quit cs if they didnt find anything. thats why a bit worse performance lately should be accepted and i see them progressing from match to match.

nice tournament, nice playing, LUq with awp again, Taz showed his skilled aiming (since now it's kuben who leads), kuben did great job like a leader and played very well, neo as always, loord very good playing too. Some mistakes made, but the golden five = ownage! :p

Not sure how many of the matches we can parse. As stated earlier, KODE5 forgot to enable logging on the servers, so we only got the data from out livebots, which is kind of messy.

Great play by Wicked, they were the best there and they won. Great tournament with lots of great close matches. For me the only downside was the double elimination bracket, I would prefer best of 3 playoff. GG

It's not that i don't like WICKED. don't get me wrong i think neo and the rest of the guys is a really good team. To watch former mYm when pasha(the name right?) played was really fun to watch. I admitt that they've had much success in the past but right now they don't feel like the strongest team on the counter strike gaming scene. Although this scene changes pretty much from one day til' another. Maybe they'll be at the top in a few months and i'll be happy to see it.

No, but WMF isn't so skilled imo apart from solo. Maybe sometimes, but the thing that gives them their small success is their teamplay, they've been practicing soooo hard. Maybe they lack some motivation too due to that.

nothing surprising, it would have been a complete shame not to win. TaZ recently said they were a better team than fnatic, they proved they aren't in this tournament, I expected much more amazing results from what was once PGS, the unstoppable Polish-machine.

Struggle and winning is different, lets take an example to clear it to ur home mind. lets say its year 2010 and fnatic won the kode5 finals, they may have won the final with ease, but struggled in the group stage and came second closely winning over a team such as k23. Analyse this and u shall see what the difference is. Sarcasm is not the right word to describe ur comments tbh. Flaming and insulting u compare it to sarcasm? Please keep you semantic "struggle" and enjoy it. And your hypothesis proved what? That according to peaople like you, team that wins a big tournament but didn't crush weeker opponents in early stage should be judged by those weaker moment but not the final result?! We have a saying in my country - You recognize a real man not by how he starts a task but how he's able to finish it...end of quote. So that's your opinion. I dont understand why here is so much HATE, they deserved they won, thats all, if you think DTS was easy tournament you dont know nothing about CS scene, there is no more bad teams in top 20 world, they just need internacional expierence, as I said before look for example on results from KODE5 (MTW vs TEG 16:14 etc or Fnatic vs DTS to 12 and 13?) That teams just get higher level last time, and know very well the best teams in the world from analyze their matches in big tournaments, its really hard play with them now. Also Wicked failed only at ESWC ASIA, in all other tournaments this year they were at least in top 3. For me its looks like (2009 year): 1. Fnatic Dominate 2. SK and MyM/Wicked 3. MTW, Alternate Anyway Congratulations to WICKED, just repair your nuke and Fnatic should be affraid :)

Ok. Your words. Not really. They didnt do so well at Kode5 and ESWC Asia. Also tbh, can u name three teams that are considered as top 10 today that DID attend this tournament apart from WMF? So ofcourse they should win this otherwise i would quit cs. They still struggled although no big teams attended. So the only thing i can make out of ur comment is that your knowledge doesnt get beyond a certain point. U replied like this to brl who wrote "wicked >oll". Lets see. If there was a top Iraki team that won this particular tournament wouldn't u be happy for this team ? Wouldn't u ever write that them > all ? Same with anything else. Football. I dont take this seriously, but since i recieve those arrogant replies i do rather take it more seriously. I mean have a look at some of them. They dont add up or make sense. Also the way they reply to u... It was worth mentioning struggle since not so many big teams attended and yet they still had bad games. Its all im trying to say. But of course what i did not realise that i should not have put my self into this since with such people they think they are always right.
