Sprout defeat Kinguin in Group B opener

Sprout are through to the Group B winners' match at the FACEIT Major Europe Minor after beating Kinguin 16-9 on Nuke.

The match kicked off with Denis "⁠denis⁠" Howell finding a clean quad-kill to stop Kinguin's outside execution. Sprout followed that up not only with the anti-ecos, but also with the first gun round to go up 4-0.

Kinguin responded with their first round despite being on a partial buy, but Sprout refused to take their foot off the gas. With a very tight defence, Niels Christian "⁠NaToSaphiX⁠" Sillassen and co. kept shutting down their opponents, losing a single round before half-time to bag a dominant 13-2 lead.

In the second half, Kinguin found a lifeline in the match by convincingly winning the second pistol, inspiring them to reduce the deficit to 9-13 without much response, forcing Sprout to call for a tactical pause in a bid to halt the Poles' momentum.

Sprout were able to get their first round on the board in the second half thanks to a great 1v3 clutch from Timo "⁠Spiidi⁠" Richter, but, after that, they went on finish off the map without losing any more rounds.
