MIBR drop coach hint

Made in Brazil have dropped a strong hint that they are on the brink of unveiling a coach.

On Twitter, MIBR posted a video in which the organisation's logo is seen over the face of Tite, the current manager of Brazil's national football team, with a message reading 'incoming'.

In a recent interview with Draft5.gg while at ESL One Belo Horizonte, Marcelo "⁠coldzera⁠" David admitted that the team needed a coach and revealed that they would be looking to find one once they joined a new organisation, which turned out to be Immortals-owned MIBR.

MIBR look set to unveil a coach

The Brazilian team have been without a coach since July 2016, when Wilton "⁠zews⁠" Prado left SK to return as a player in Immortals. The experience lasted only a couple of months, however, and the 30-year-old took the reins of Liquid at the end of the year.

zews was quick to react to MIBR's Twitter post, stressing that he will not be reuniting with the Brazilian team. He also noted that he is currently "happy with and committed to" Liquid, who finished in second place at ELEAGUE Premier, where MIBR went out 5th-6th in what was Tarik "⁠tarik⁠" Celik's first event with the team.

It'll be interesting... Some players on MIBR are currently set in their ways and after reading some interviews from the players, I don't know how much a coach will be able to help that. Just hope it isn't a glorified analyst stuck in the coaching position.

Cocky headstrong veterans with big achievements such as fallen fer and coldzera don't really strike me as being the most "coachable" or "moldable" type of players.. if they do get a coach instead of glorified analyst it's definitely going to have to be someone they respect, or I don't really see it doing a whole lot.

I will say that it was nice to watch Liquid school SK/MIBR in utility usage and tactics in two BO3's in a row. Not as great as watching them lose a finals to C9 on home soil but it was certainly up there. Onto the news itself. Yes clearly they need a fucking coach. All those innovative re-takes they were known for at one point are gone. It'd be sad to watch if they didn't destroy my favorite team in the process of becoming so shit.

I agree. One of LG/SK/MIBR strengths was that played so well off one another that they could always use the clock to their advantage during retakes, especially when somebody like fer was alive... Once the clock starts ticking, you can't really focus on a single angle, must always be aware of the un-watched choke points and flanks, and the br's always seemed to have perfect communication when the retake was being executed. On T-side, they need way more structure than what they've had for the past 6 months.

During their hey day they were the fucking masters of the re-take. On a serious note I think this is probably Fallen's greatest contribution to the game. I think in a sense that SK/LG/MIBR has just been figured out which is why bringing in a really good entry fragger and then better firepower hasn't really helped them that much(I realize it's just one tournament with Tarik). I almost think a European or NA coach would be better then bringing in a Brazilian however because any Brazilian coach is going to have likely been brought up on Fallen's tactic's specifically. It's not that they can't use what once made them great. They just need to readjust to the meta. Even NA teams have strong utility usage nowadays and to be the best team in the world you have to beat the masters of it.
