IEM Chicago EU closed qualifier teams and bracket announced

ESL have revealed the invites for the IEM Chicago Europe Closed Qualifier, along with the first round matchups and the bracket.

The Europe Closed Qualifier will take place on August 23-25 featuring eight teams, with the top two sides booking their spots at IEM Chicago which will be held on November 6-11 with a $250,000 prize pool.

The double-elimination closed qualifier will feature AVANGAR, Fragsters, and Valiance who finished top three in the open qualifier.

North will face Fragsters in their first match

The aforementioned sides will be joined by ENCE, Gambit, HEROIC, North, and Space Soldiers who all got invited to the closed stage.

The bracket for the IEM Chicago Europe Closed Qualifier is below:

NiP denied the invite to qualifier They should’ve been invited to the tournament to defend their title (since Chicago is REPLACING Oakland it is theirs) but weren’t and they aren’t okay with that so they aren’t going.

they invite legends to next major only. like atlanta legends to krakow major. not the way of atlanta legends to boston legends or so. there were a fucking ton iem tournaments between iem oakland and iem chicago.and nip got invite to kaowice because they won oakland.

Fuck the rankings. North is only in Top 20 because they play against shit teams, especially because of that one tournament which Navi won (dont know the Name) where they got into semis because they beat ago and some other shit teams
