Astralis beat NiP; through to grand final in Stockholm

Astralis have made it to the DreamHack Masters Stockholm grand final with a 2-0 victory against Ninjas in Pyjamas in the semi-finals (16-14 on Mirage and 16-7 on Nuke).

Ninjas in Pyjamas and Astralis faced off in the first semi-final at DreamHack Masters Stockholm. Ninjas in Pyjamas opened up Mirage on the T-side with a 3vs5 win, thanks to Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg's triple kill. Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth got a triple kill in the fifth round to win a 2vs3 as Astralis scored their first (4-1).

Astralis tied the game three times in the first half but couldn't go ahead and Ninjas in Pyjamas finished it 8-7 in front. f0rest shined in the second half pistol round with a quad kill to make it 9-7 and Ninjas in Pyjamas extended their lead to 11-7 by stopping Astralis' early buy round.

Astralis have made it to yet another grand final

Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund's quad kill in the 25th round made it 14-11 but Astralis took five rounds in a row to come back and win the map 16-14, going 1-0 ahead in the series.

Astralis started Nuke on the CT-side and picked up the first four rounds. The Danes were about to make it five in a row but f0rest prevented it with an ace and a 1vs4 clutch (4-1). Unfortunately for the Swedes, their economy was reset immediately as they lost the following round. Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander's team ran away with the half, taking it 13-2.

NiP finished the event in the top four

GeT_RiGhT kicked off the second half in style, clutching a 1vs1 in the pistol round and getting a quad kill and a 1vs2 clutch with two health points to stop Astralis' early buy round (13-5).

Ninjas in Pyjamas managed to get to seven rounds but Astralis' three round streak made it 16-7. The Danish side won the series 2-0 and became the first grand finalists at DreamHack Masters Stockholm 2018.

I have supported them since Dignitas days with Fetish, so no prob not. Im not arrogant about it tho, like you. You do realize that Astralis can't keep this up in years right? they are eventually going to go down in rating like other great teams in CSGO history. So be humble about it and kudos to NIP for showing they still got it. The Astralis roster is humble and great players, be like them.. Don't be like a 13 year old "bad" winner.

I didnt say that you said anything wrong? but "Too ez for the danish champions" is so arrogant that it sucks. Im not the kid, you are.. When you are playing CSGO and you win a match you are for sure one of those kids writing "Too Ez" in chat. Your personality is bad for this game, and your type is why this game sucks sometimes. again.. Be humble, write "GG wp guys" and you will for sure see that more players will like you.

you are the one talking about being a kid all the time.. Like u got some complexes and have the need to feel like a grown up, you definately can't be older than 15.. It's your personality that is shit, thinking you decide what others should say.... 2-0 in semifinals again, 16-7, dont tell me that map wasnt too ez, nothing wrong with that.. get your head out of your ass and find something relevant to discuss

Nothing was ez here man. First map came down to 1 kill difference? Astralis is a damn team based team and the best in the world at that, that's why Nuke was so easy for them, but if NIP would have won Mirage this match could have gone to NIP, and if you don't realize that then you know nothing about CSGO. It don't matter if it was ez for Astralis or not, it's bad manners and fucking toxic to write "Too Ez". I can't change your personality and i don't want to, but i tell you something.. You are gonna have a hard time being good at this game with that attiude. I feel very sorry for your teammates if you are even in a team. Ofc im talking about being a kid when you are being like a 13 year old winning a board game against your parents "Too Ez". Damn you are arrogant.

Stop diminishing NiP and thinking Astralis are unique since they haven’t done sh.t since this year and NiP had an era. Also majors and one of the biggest names in CS history (not only cs:go history counts young rats)

Really nice to see get right and f0rest playing so well, with some really nice clutches. Rez showing star player potential for sure and lekr0 showing good impact. Dennis was not at all ready to play; netting zero impact over 2 maps - would like to see them pick up a dedicated awp, but who is available at this level that they won't kick for making plays?

Most probably another MVP for device if they win. He could be the one to contest s1mple's #1 spot, especially if NaVi have poor performances like this one in the second part of 2018..

Agreed. While s1mple will not be contested as the best aimer, you also have to consider that dev1ce might be a better teammate, might contribute to a better vibe in the team and might be a bit more cool-headed. These are factors that people rarely take into consideration.

“might” “might” “‘might” These are subjective factors that are also irrelevant to the decision of HLTV’s #1 player. There’s a reason why they aren’t taken into consideration. How the fuck would you know anything about device’s teamwork, vibes, and coolheadedness and if they’re better than s1mple’s? lmfao.

Agree completely. Plus a _huge_ factor in device's game is that he has those bad whiffing periods less and less, he's becoming very consistent.

Yeah, he might not be considered a great awper by many because he style isn'( flashy, more scholar like, but he is quickly becoming the most consistent one, and his team of great player's cornerstone...

Well I think everyone could consider him a great awper, but go back a year or so he had those matches when he just started whiffing. Missing the easiest shots, like every maybe 5 or 6 matches. That was when dupreeh then took the awp and Device rifled. In the past 8-9 months Device has not had those whiffing periods, and when he is on point he is definitely among the very best awpers out there. Consistency is key.

This was actually pretty close considering it was 5 v 4. Dennis seriously needed to do more, even a little more and Nip would've won Mirage. On the second map the first half was 3v5, but Get-right compensated in the second half, they just could recover from the first round lost on ct side.
