NiP ease past Virtus.pro in London

Ninjas in Pyjamas defeated Virtus.pro 16-5 on Mirage to kick off their FACEIT Major's New Challengers Stage campaign on the right foot.

Starting out as Counter-Terrorists, Virtus.pro picked up the first pistol with a triple-kill from Michał "⁠snatchie⁠" Rudzki, but they conceded the subsequent round due to a sloppy anti-eco play. As for Ninjas in Pyjamas, they did not let their opponents stop them from bagging a 3-1 lead.

dennis led the way for NiP

Virtus.pro then responded with a 1v2 clutch from Paweł "⁠byali⁠" Bieliński, but they could not follow up on any of their successful rounds. Ninjas in Pyjamas were far too hot to handle, losing a single round before bagging an 8-3 lead. Still, from that point, both teams traded rounds back-to-back, meaning that Ninjas in Pyjamas switched to the CT side with a 10-5 lead.

In the second half, Ninjas in Pyjamas took control of proceedings after winning a near-flawless pistol and the following anti-ecos. With an impressive AWP double-kill from Dennis "⁠dennis⁠" Edman in the next round, Ninjas in Pyjamas turned a 2v3 post-plant situation around to go up 14-5. That inspired the Swedes to continue their run and close out the map 16-5.
