VP receive Wild Card invite to EPICENTER qualifier

Virtus.pro will compete in the LAN qualifier for EPICENTER 2018 in Moscow, the organisers have announced.

Filip "⁠NEO⁠" Kubski's men will go to Russia to fight for a spot in the main tournament running from October 22-28. The qualifiers will take place offline as a part of the event and will see Virtus.pro go up against the winners of the CIS, European, North American and Asian qualifiers.

A total of three spots at EPICENTER 2018 are on the line, with the team ranked highest on the HLTV.org rankings as of October 19 automatically going through, together with the two top teams from the qualifier, which features a double-elimination format.

Virtus.pro have reached the EPICENTER finals twice

According to the organisers, the wild card invite is based on the team's 'previous performance, audience choice, and other factors.' Virtus.pro are two-time finalists at EPICENTER, the squad coming in second both times after losing to Dignitas in 2016 and to SK (currently MIBR) in 2017.

Paweł "⁠byali⁠" Bieliński and co. are currently in London for the New Challengers Stage at the FACEIT Major, which will be the last event with the 24-year-old on the roster.
