Spirit ease past Rogue in London

The Russian-Ukrainian side Spirit beat Rogue 16-4 on Overpass and now have a 2-1 record at the Major's Challengers Stage.

Spirit started winning the pistol round with five headshots on the defending side of Overpass. After two anti-ecos won, they finally gave up a round as Spencer "⁠Hiko⁠" Martin got a four-kill round in a B execute by Rogue. Not able to solidify their economy, Rogue lost the follow-up with weaker weapons as Spirit went on to claim a 5-1 lead. Early overextensions by Spirit early in the seventh round gave Rogue their second after early frags from their default positions.

Despite the initial rounds by Spirit, Rogue got their bearings trading rounds and causing Spirit to lose the economic advantage. Able to link two in a row, Rogue looked like they had found some cracks in the defense, but Spirit once again were able to win rounds to make it 7-4. The Russian-Ukrainian side went on to win the half out, 11-4.

Spirit join the 2-1 pool

A big clutch by Vadim "⁠DavCost⁠" Vasilyev in a 1vs2 in the second pistol round got Spirit closer to winning the match. The Russian-Ukrainian side were able to win the anti-ecos and forcebuys, landing themselves on 15-4 before closing the map out against a rifle and SMG buy from Rogue, 16-4, joining the likes of Astralis, Vega Squadron, and Complexity in the 2-1 pool.
