FACEIT Major New Challengers stage round four matchups set

Shortly after the third round came to an end, FACEIT revealed the fourth-round matchups of the New Challengers stage live on the stream.

Day three saw Liquid and Ninjas in Pyjamas lock the first two spots in the New Legends stage after beating Vega Squadron and Astralis, respectively, in overtime matches at the beginning of the third round.

Meanwhile, the first two teams to exit the competition are Space Soldiers, who played the event with their coach, Canpolat "⁠hardstyle⁠" Yıldıran, standing in for Engin "⁠ngiN⁠" Kor, and Virtus.pro.

The 1-2 pool will see a rematch of the Asia Minor grand final between TYLOO and Renegades

The Buchholz scores of each team after round three look as follows:

2-1 pool

Astralis (6-3)

Vega Squadron (6-3)

HellRaisers (5-4)

OpTic (4-5)

Spirit (4-5)

Complexity (3-6)

1-2 pool

TYLOO (6-3)

BIG (5-4)

North (4-5)

Gambit (4-5)

Rogue (4-5)

Renegades (2-7)

The Buchholz seeding set up one direct matchup in each pool. As the lowest seed of the 2-1 pool, Complexity will play one of the highest seeds, Vega Squadron, as they have already met Astralis earlier in the tournament. In the 1-2 pool, the highest seeded team, TYLOO, will go up against the lowest, Renegades. The remaining teams were drawn semi-randomly.

The round four matchups are the following:

2-1 pool (winners advance to New Legends stage)
Astralis vs. Spirit
Vega Squadron vs. Complexity
HellRaisers vs. OpTic

1-2 pool (losers get eliminated)
TYLOO vs. Renegades
North vs. Rogue
Gambit vs. BIG
