North send Virtus.pro packing in London

North have moved into the 1-2 pool in the FACEIT Major's New Challengers Stage after defeating Virtus.pro 16-6 on Mirage.

The final match of the day began with a strong start from North, who took a 3-0 lead following a fast B execution in the pistol round. Virtus.pro hit back in the first full gun round, only to get immediately reset following a key trio of kills by Markus "⁠Kjaerbye⁠" Kjærbye.

After getting their economy back in order, Virtus.pro won three of the next four rounds to bring the deficit to 4-6, with Michał "⁠snatchie⁠" Rudzki putting in a great performance to keep his time afloat. But North were quickly back at it again, and they dominated the final stages of the half to head into the break up by five rounds.

North win their first match in London

Carrying their momentum into the second half, North won four rounds without response to pile even more misery on Virtus.pro - who would reply on a very weak buy following a triple-kill from snatchie on the B site. That round kept the Poles in the game, but their fans' hopes were immediately crushed as North won back-to-back rounds to secure their first victory at the Major and send VP packing on a disappointing 0-3 record.

End of era? couple months ago with Taz' kicking... it was wrong player to say goodbye, it should be byali (most toxic but he has best aim among them so chance for $ > atmosphere in team), snax (lost his motivation, second after byali destroyer of team but he has best gamesense among them so chance for $ > atmosphere in team) or Neo (outdated in aim, gamesense, motivation but he was their best igl in team so no1 want play that role). Better was kicking your hearth of team. We saw just last match on last major with that 3-core team. That's all. Legacy of G5 just died with Taz. cheers

Nah, what Millka said is true.. VP officially died when they kicked Taz, that was their worst decision. Everything they ever accomplished was under Taz's lead, and he kept the team together and motivated even in hard times.

Pasha literally gives anybody headaches. 2017 he was consistently good this year either consistent good or consistent awful. and that was again awful like the game vs NiP, but vs Optic he was there and again off Snatchie with his first good game since he arrived to VP! (Btw amazing how he couldn't find valde when he was taken out by his cz75a...) Sadly snatchie was awful vs NiP and Optic... playing 3 times Mirage and that awfully bad? WTF please get ride of Kuben, Neo his an awful caller and their new analyst (kubik) is completely useless

I partially agree with you. Kuben and Neo (with the calling) are not awful, but the are old players and don't have fresh ideas. All the other teams have young players with new, innovating ideas, that's what VP needs. a brand new team made of young players.

snatchie get's super hyped by the commentators when he get's like 15 free frags, lucky collaterals, people walking up with their backs towards him, exit frags etc. Not to mentioned he sucked the other games ofc, sad performance by byali+pasha mainly obviously but snatchie has been far from some super player since joining VP.

this ois the true vp. new blood hard carry but still another stomped loss. psh is never a consistent player, been watching him since 2009, he cant play alone, he needs good position and support from team to know what to do. he is just so often unaware of whats going on. the previous two games vp are still trying to play as ateam, but seems like internal probs are too much, theres no team play any more, and this game clearly they are just playing eachs own game, and this is what psh will look like in this kinda scenerio.
