Liquid run over Winstrike in London

Without ever being challenged on Mirage, Liquid beat Winstrike 16-7 to go 1-0 at the FACEIT Major's New Legends stage.

The second match of the day took place on Mirage, where Winstrike won the first pistol round on the T side as they successfully bombed the A site. Liquid fired back immediately, though, and then started stringing together rounds.

The North Americans clinically denied most of what their CIS opponents had in store for them, as Nick "⁠nitr0⁠" Cannella's men cruised to a 12-3 lead at halftime.

TACO and the rest of Liquid easily took down Winstrike

Now on the attacking side, Liquid easily won the second pistol round but couldn't convert the followup, as Winstrike won it on the back of three Desert Eagle kills from Aurimas "⁠Kvik⁠" Kvakšys.

Epitacio "⁠TACO⁠" de Melo and co. swiftly made it to match point, but Winstrike then tightened up their defences and won three in a row. In the end, though, they proved no challenge for Liquid, who ended up closing the match 16-7.
