NiP beat mousesports on Mirage

The Ninjas start with a win at the New Legends Stage over MOUZ 16-12 on Mirage to go 1-0 in the Swiss group stage.

The match between MOUZ and Ninjas in Pyjamas kicked off on Mirage with the Swedish side on the attacking side playing heavily towards the B site, but a well-time flash in halls slowed them down as everyone on MOUZ got one frag to bag the round. After two dominant anti-eco rounds by MOUZ, Ninjas in Pyjamas started the first gun round playing towards A, with Fredrik "⁠REZ⁠" Sterner opening the round with a kill in underpass. Quickly setting up a 5vs3 advantage, the Swedes were then able to play towards Apartments and with REZ landing a quick double entering the site Ninjas in Pyjamas tallied their first round. They were then able to follow it up, winning duels and trades across the map before ending on A. Able to follow it up once again, the map was tied up, but it was then that Tomáš "⁠oskar⁠" Šťastný played a well-timed peak on Apartments to neutralize Ninjas in Pyjamas’s attack and keep his team in the lead.

After an aggressive play on mid MOUZ found themselves with a two-round cushion, but a 1vs2 clutch by Jonas "⁠Lekr0⁠" Olofsson on two B players from Apartments the following round kept the game close. Ninjas in Pyjamas then gained their footing and were able to take the lead for the first time, 6-5, but were unable to close a 3vs3 play on A as the score settled at 6-6. The following round ended up in a 2vs2 with the bomb planted on B which Patrik "⁠f0rest⁠" Lindberg was able to close out. Ninjas in Pyjamas then closed out the half with a three round lead, 9-6.

Ninjas in Pyjamas were then able to win the second pistol round as Christopher "⁠GeT_RiGhT⁠" Alesund bagged three. After the anti-ecos, Ninjas in Pyjamas found themselves with a 12-6 lead, and with what seemed the first gun round in the bag, oskar and Janusz "⁠Snax⁠" Pogorzelski played a heroic round on A to win a 2vs4 and keep the game alive. The follow-up, however, was a one-sided affair for the Ninjas as f0rest got three frags to reset the terrorists. A full eco by MOUZ then swayed the balances as the European combine then had the money advantage as Ninjas in Pyjamas were forced into a save of their own with 8-13 on the board.

After losing the save, doubles by REZ and Lekr0 to stop an A execute by MOUZ got Ninjas in Pyjamas on the brink of winning, 14-9, but a B play by MOUZ didn't let the Swedes run away with it. Another play on B against a forcebuy brought the score within three, which MOUZ then followed it up once again with a play on B against a full eco to make it 12-14. Ninjas in Pyjamas finally adapted and with two quick kills in mid dominated the round to get on match point. They then followed it up as GeT_RiGhT downed three on A to end it 16-12.
