Astralis edge past Na`Vi to enter 1-0 pool

Astralis are off to a great start in the FACEIT Major's New Legends Stage after defeating Natus Vincere 16-14 on Inferno.

The stand-out match of the first round, featuring the top two teams in the ranking, began with a successful A execution from Natus Vincere following a trio of kills by Oleksandr "⁠s1mple⁠" Kostyliev. The Ukrainian team followed that up with both anti-eco rounds, but Astralis fought back after buying up.

The Danish team kept a water-tight defence and cruised to a 7-4 lead after constantly shutting down the offense. A risky force-buy from Na`Vi in the next round paid off and set them up for a great run, with Egor "⁠flamie⁠" Vasilyev getting numerous multi-kills rounds to help his team close out the half with the lead.

Astralis beat Na`Vi in a back-and-forth game

Down 7-8, Astralis restored parity with a fast A push, with Peter "⁠dupreeh⁠" Rasmussen getting three kills to his name. The Danish team would be caught off-guard in the third round, but they hit back immediately after finding a clear path to the B site. Andreas "⁠Xyp9x⁠" Højsleth came up huge in the following round with a 1v2 clutch, punishing flamie for missing what appeared to be an easy shot with the AWP.

Astralis rode that momentum and carved out a 13-9 lead, but then they lost control of the game. Even with Ioann "⁠Edward⁠" Sukhariev not contributing, Na`Vi tightened up their defence and dented Astralis' economy, bringing the scoreline to 14-14. The Danish team were unwilling to let the game slip away, however, and responded with two great A executes to seal a hard-fought win that puts them through to the 1-0 pool.

agreed. didn’t like too much the performance overall. 7/10 good, but far from perfect. luckily magisk stepped up on T side and gla1ve made perfect calls in the last 2 rounds. now gimme the baguettes.
