FaZe live to fight another day at the FACEIT Major after defeating MOUZ 16-8 on Mirage.

Chris "⁠chrisJ⁠" de Jong opened up the action in the final match of the day with a trio of kills in a flank attempt, helping MOUZ to take an early lead. They followed that up with the corresponding anti-ecos for a 3-0 start, but FaZe hit back in the first gun round with a B split, punishing the CTs' passive setup.

With a stunning quad-kill by Ladislav "⁠GuardiaN⁠" Kovács, FaZe prevented the reset and took control of the economy, eventually securing the lead at 4-3. MOUZ still tried to get back in the game, but every round won by them was immediately countered by Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen's troops, who closed out the half with a 10-5 lead.

FaZe remain in contention

Now playing on the CT side, FaZe won the pistol round with an A retake to further add to their lead. MOUZ went for a risky force-buy, a move that paid off as they broke through the defence thanks to their two AKs, with Miikka "⁠suNny⁠" Kemppi pulling off a massive 1v4 clutch in the next round.

MOUZ followed that up with another round, bringing the deficit to 8-11, but FaZe brought that streak to an end thanks to a trio of AWP kills by Olof "⁠olofmeister⁠" Kajbjer. That round broke mouz's resistance and swung the tide back in the favour of FaZe, who would remain in the driving seat to seal a quick 16-8 triumph.

What I like the most about him is that even when everybody knows he's a huge star, he's humble enough to admit Niko is the main star of the team. In yesterday's match against Navi Olof saved an AK and he dropped it to Niko instead of playing it himself. Not a lot of former wordls best players do that

I think the internals in the team are fucked up. They never look happy. Oskar seems like he’s rather doing something else and his possible bad attitude might have big negative impact on young players like sunny and ropz. Snax didnt ruin anything, give him like half a year extra and if he then fails to deliver he can take blame. They need a roster change anyways. Rumours about sunny/oskar leaving.

Fine match, ChrisJ and Oskar played well and beautyfull, lots of kills at precious times... other teammembers didnt't always follow up. Nice to see Olof back in a decent level, awping was awesome, and best of all he smiled !!! Niko is just on another level than everyone else……. looking forward to next match
