ECS Season 6 dates, qualifiers announced
Esports Championship Series (ECS) organiser FACEIT has announced the dates for the sixth edition of the league.
Qualification for the FACEIT-run league will kick off on September 17 in Europe and North America. Both regions will feature two open qualifiers, with the finalists advancing to the next stage, called Challenger Cup.
The qualified sides will join three invitees and a team relegated from Season 5 in the Challenger Cup, scheduled for September 27-30. The top two sides per Challenger Cup will advance to ECS Season 6, which will run from October 3 through November 8.

Complexity, who are currently making waves at the FACEIT Major, and Gambit are the teams who will be competing in the Challenger Cups after finishing in the relegation zone in the previous season.
Envy and OpTic, who finished in tenth and ninth place in Europe and North America, respectively, were also due to compete in these cups but can no longer field a line-up in these regions.
