HLTV.org is now live from the Ulker Arena as the first set of matches are about to get under way at BLAST Pro Series Istanbul.

The $250,000 event, which will have six teams, begins today with the first two rounds of the group stage. The round-robin, best-of-one group will feature three simultaneous matches in all rounds.

The teams have arrived at the venue earlier to prepare for round one games, which will be Space Soldiers vs. Ninjas in Pyjamas, MIBR vs. Cloud9, and Virtus.pro vs. Astralis.

At least half the people in this country hate me. They hate me for my gender or my sexual orientation or other things I don't want to talk about. They hate others for their race or ethnicity. They don't just hate us, they view us as subhuman. We can be beaten, raped, killed, and they don't care. They say we deserve it.

This isn't politicians that we're talking about. This is ordinary Americans, the people in line with me at the grocery store, the neighbors next door, coworkers. Family, too. They put on a friendly face, but they hate us. They are devoid of any empathy for us. We are already dead to them.

I go downstairs and I see my dad and brothers all vigorously agreeing with Kavanaugh. Sometimes my dad makes jokes about wanting to run for an office. I could see him doing it, he's smart, successful, and very political. I know what would happen if I tried to tell people how he treated me, or my mom. Nobody would believe me, just like they wouldn't believe my friend if they spoke up. It wouldn't matter to anyone. America doesn't care. It didn't happen, and if it did, who cares? It was in the past.
