MIBR take down Space Soldiers to cement second place

MIBR have picked up their second victory in BLAST Pro Series Istanbul's round-robin stage after defeating Space Soldiers 16-8 on Mirage.

The hometown favourites got off to a great start to the match, their second of the tournament on Mirage, and strolled to a 3-0 lead after shutting down MIBR's execute towards B, with Ahmet "⁠paz⁠" Karahoca getting three kills to his name.

MIBR's first full buy earned them their first round of the game, but they could not follow it up as they were once halted by the Space Soldiers defence while attempting to push B. After that, the Brazilians gave up on the B site almost entirely and instead switched their focus to setting up A executes - a strategy that paid off as they closed out the half with a narrow 8-7 lead.

MIBR now have seven points from three mathces

Now playing on the CT side, MIBR further added to their lead after winning the pistol round - their first of the event - and the subsequent anti-ecos. Space Soldiers struggled to break through the MIBR and only managed to get something going six rounds into the half. The Brazilians were not impressed, however, and kept a water-tight defence, with Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo striking the finishing blow in the 24th round with a trio of fast kills inside B.
