device wins BLAST Pro Series Istanbul MVP award
Nicolai "device" Reedtz has claimed the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award of BLAST Pro Series Istanbul by HLTV.org and Betway.
Astralis's AWPer secured the award after inspiring his team to win the $250,000 event after the closely contested grand final, in which the Danes beat MIBR 2-1.
device beat two of his teammates to the MVP medal, Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth and Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen, as well as MIBR's Marcelo "coldzera" David, all of whom were in contention for the award before the grand final began.

With a 1.39 rating, device was the highest-rated player of the tournament following a consistent performance in the group stage and especially a great showing in the final best-of-three, in which he averaged a 1.48 rating after kicking off the series with a jaw-dropping 2.72 rating on the opening map, Train.
The 23-year-old appeared in several other leaderboards apart from overall rating, such as in damage per round (88.4, 2nd), kills per round (0.87, 1st), as well as opening kills (0.17, 1st) and success in opening duels (78%, 1st).
This is device's ninth MVP award overall and his fourth in 2018, after he secured the accolade at ECS Season 5 Finals, ELEAGUE Premier, and the FACEIT Major over the course of the last five months.
